Terms & Conditions

Race Date: Sunday, 22 November 2026

By registering for the Kokrajhar NCC Marathon 2026, the participant—and the parent or legal guardian where the participant is below 18 years—agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirements
  • Participation is open only to Indian citizens residing in India. Foreign citizens and applicants residing outside India are not eligible.
  • A participant’s age will be calculated as on 22 November 2026.
  • Participants must meet the age requirements prescribed for their selected race.
  • Participants below 18 years may register only for race categories specifically open to minors.
  • Registration of a participant below 18 years must be completed with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • The parent or guardian must confirm their relationship with the participant and accept these Terms & Conditions and the Acknowledgement of Risks and Indemnity Agreement.
  • The organisers may verify a participant’s age, identity, citizenship, residence and category eligibility before, during or after the event.
2. Registration and Acceptance of Entry
  • Only one registration and one race category are permitted per participant.
  • Participants must provide true, accurate, current and complete information during registration.
  • Applications containing inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or unverifiable information may be rejected or cancelled at any stage.
  • Submission of an application does not guarantee participation. Entry is confirmed only after acceptance by the organisers and successful payment of the applicable registration fee.
  • The last date for registration is Tuesday, 17 November 2026, unless registrations close earlier due to capacity limitations or operational requirements.
  • By registering, the participant accepts these Terms & Conditions and the Acknowledgement of Risks and Indemnity Agreement.
3. Registration Fee, Refund and Transfer
  • The registration fee will be as displayed on the official registration page.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Change of race category is not permitted after registration confirmation.
  • Transfer of registration to another participant is not permitted.
  • Voluntary transfer or deferment of registration to the next edition is not permitted.
4. One Participant, One Race, One BIB
  • A participant may register for and participate in only one race category.
  • Each participant will be issued only one valid BIB and one RFID timing chip for the confirmed race category.
  • Multiple registrations submitted by the same participant, whether using the same or different contact details, may result in the cancellation of all duplicate registrations. The registration fee will not be refunded.
  • If multiple BIBs are issued to the same participant because of a system or administrative error, only the BIB identified by the organisers as valid will be permitted.
  • All additional BIBs and timing chips issued to the same participant will be cancelled.
  • A participant must run only in the race category mentioned on the valid BIB.

Any breach of these requirements will be dealt with under the Disqualification provisions contained in these Terms & Conditions.

5. BIB Collection and Use
  • BIB collection will take place on Saturday, 21 November 2026, at the venue and time notified by the organisers.
  • Participants must collect their BIB personally and produce the prescribed registration confirmation and a valid government-issued photo identity document.
  • A participant below 18 years may be required to collect the BIB in the presence of their parent or legal guardian.
  • BIBs and timing chips are participant-specific and cannot be transferred, exchanged or used by another person.
  • The official BIB must be worn clearly on the front of the participant’s clothing throughout the race.
  • The BIB must not be altered, duplicated, covered, cut, forcefully bent, creased or folded.
  • Participants must ensure that the BIB number and sponsor markings remain clearly visible throughout the race.
6. RFID Timing
  • RFID timing chips will be used for all four race categories:
    • 42.195 km Full Marathon
    • 21.0975 km Half Marathon
    • 10 km Run
    • 5 km Run
  • The timing chip must remain correctly attached to the BIB from start to finish.
  • Participants must cross all designated start, finish and intermediate timing points.
  • Missing or irregular timing records will be examined by the timing and technical teams.
  • Timing chips must not be removed, exchanged, altered or used by another participant.
7. Race Completion and Cut-Off Times

The following maximum completion times will apply:

Race category Maximum completion time
42.195 km Full Marathon 7 hours
21.0975 km Half Marathon 3 hours 30 minutes
10 km Run 1 hour 30 minutes
5 km Run 1 hour
  • The cut-off time will be calculated from the official flag-off time of the participant’s assigned race or starting wave.
  • If a race or starting wave is delayed by the organisers, the applicable cut-off time will be adjusted accordingly.
  • To be recognised as an official finisher, a participant must:
    1. Start in the confirmed race category with the assigned BIB and RFID timing chip.
    2. Complete the entire designated route without taking shortcuts or using unauthorised transportation or assistance.
    3. Cross all mandatory timing points in the prescribed sequence.
    4. Cross the finish line within the applicable cut-off time.
    5. Comply with all race rules and not be disqualified.
  • A participant who does not meet the official-finisher requirements will be recorded as Did Not Finish (DNF).
  • A DNF participant will not be eligible for an official finish time, ranking, timing certificate, finisher benefits or prize money.
  • The organisers may establish intermediate cut-off points along the Full Marathon and Half Marathon routes.
  • Participants failing to reach an intermediate cut-off point within the prescribed time may be stopped and required to board an official sweep or support vehicle.
  • Route support, hydration stations, medical coverage, timing services and traffic control may be withdrawn after the applicable cut-off time.
  • Participants must comply immediately if instructed by race, medical, security or traffic officials to discontinue the race.
8. Official Timing and Results
  • Gun Time will be used to determine rankings and prize winners.
  • Net/Chip Time will be displayed as the participant’s individual performance time.
  • Initial results will remain provisional until the organisers complete timing, identity, category and course-completion verification.
  • Any timing or result-related objection must be submitted through the officially notified channel within 48 hours of publication of the provisional results.
  • The decision of the organisers and technical officials after verification will be final.
9. Prize Money, Verification and One-Prize Rule
  • All prize amounts are provisional and may be changed before the event at the sole discretion of the organisers.
  • NCC Cadet and NCC Staff prizes are only for those attending SNIC II
  • The latest prize schedule published on the official event page will prevail.
  • Prize eligibility will be subject to verification of:
    • Identity and age
    • Indian citizenship and residence
    • Registered race category
    • Age-category eligibility
    • NCC Cadet or NCC Staff status, wherever applicable
    • BIB and RFID timing records
    • Completion of the prescribed course
    • Technical-official reports and anti-cheating camera footage
  • Participants claiming an NCC Cadet or NCC Staff prize must provide valid documentary proof in the format prescribed by the organisers.
  • A participant qualifying in more than one prize category will receive only the highest-value cash prize.
  • The other prize will be awarded to the next eligible finisher in that category.
  • Under no circumstances will a participant receive more than one cash prize under the published prize schedule.
  • Finisher medals and timing certificates will not be considered prizes for the purpose of this rule.
  • Where qualifying prize amounts are equal, the organisers will determine the applicable prize category.
  • Prize money and bonuses will be subject to applicable Indian income-tax laws. Applicable tax or TDS may be deducted, and any remaining tax liability will rest with the winner.
  • Prize money will be processed only after final verification and submission of the required identity, PAN and bank details.
10. Code of Conduct
  • Participants must follow the instructions of the organisers, technical officials, medical personnel, course marshals, security personnel and volunteers.
  • Participants must behave respectfully towards fellow runners, officials, volunteers and local residents.
  • Participants must not obstruct, interfere with or endanger another runner.
  • Participants must not engage in any conduct that compromises the safety, fairness or orderly conduct of the event.
  • Any breach of the Code of Conduct may result in action under the Disqualification provisions.
11. Disqualification

Following verification, a participant may be disqualified for:

  • Swapping, transferring, altering or duplicating a BIB or timing chip.
  • Using another participant’s BIB or timing chip.
  • Wearing, carrying or using more than one event-issued BIB or timing chip.
  • Running in a race category other than the confirmed category.
  • Course cutting, taking shortcuts or failing to complete the designated route.
  • Using unauthorised transportation, assistance or outside support.
  • Missing mandatory timing points without a satisfactory technical explanation.
  • Starting before the official flag-off or from an unauthorised starting wave.
  • Providing false or unverifiable information regarding identity, age, citizenship, residence or prize-category eligibility.
  • Refusing to follow the directions of race, medical, security or technical officials.
  • Engaging in cheating, unsporting conduct or any other violation of the published race rules.

A disqualified participant will not be entitled to an official finish time, result, ranking, timing certificate, finisher benefits or prize money. Any affected prize will be awarded to the next eligible finisher.

12. Medical Fitness and Safety
  • Participation in a distance-running event involves inherent physical and medical risks.
  • Each participant is responsible for assessing their health, fitness and ability to participate.
  • Participants should obtain medical advice before registering, particularly if they have an existing medical condition, injury or other health concern.
  • Medical personnel or race officials may stop a participant from continuing if they reasonably believe that the participant’s health or safety is at risk.
  • By participating, the participant consents to receiving emergency first aid or medical assistance when considered necessary.
  • The organisers will not be responsible for any medical condition arising from undisclosed or pre-existing health concerns, subject to applicable law.
13. Race-Day Photographs and Videos
  • Participants acknowledge that photographs, videos and other recordings may be captured during the event.
  • Participants grant the organisers, promoters and authorised event partners a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use such material for event documentation, reporting, publicity and promotion.
  • Participants may be identified through their name, BIB number, race category or finishing position.
  • For participants below 18 years, permission for such use must be provided by the parent or legal guardian.
14. Personal Data and Results
  • Participant information may be collected, processed and shared with authorised registration, timing, photography, certificate, medical, communication and event-service partners for conducting the event.
  • Public results may display the participant’s name, BIB number, race category, gender, age category, timing and finishing position.
  • Personal information will be handled in accordance with the event’s privacy notice and applicable Indian law.
  • The registration platform may use the participant’s registered mobile number and email address to send event-related information, instructions, results and safety updates.
  • Parent or guardian consent must be obtained for processing the personal data of participants below 18 years.
15. Event Modification, Postponement or Cancellation
  • The organisers may modify the course, schedule, start time, cut-off time, venue or race-day procedures when necessary for safety, security or effective conduct of the event.
  • The event may be postponed, shortened, modified or cancelled due to force majeure, extreme weather, natural disaster, epidemic, government direction, security concerns, civil disturbance or circumstances beyond the organisers’ reasonable control.
  • If the event is cancelled, confirmed registrations will automatically be carried forward to the next edition in the same or an equivalent race category.
  • No cash refund will be provided if the event is postponed, modified or cancelled due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control.
  • Automatic carry-forward following event cancellation is an exception to the general rule prohibiting voluntary transfer to the next edition.
  • If the event is conducted on a modified or shortened course, it will be treated as staged, and no registration-fee refund will be payable.
16. Organisers’ Authority
  • The application form, acceptance of an entry and the right to participate are at the sole discretion of the organisers.
  • Participation rights, BIBs, timing chips and associated benefits belong only to the confirmed participant.
  • The organisers may reject or cancel an entry, withhold a result or take other action in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
  • The organisers’ decision concerning eligibility, timing, results, disqualification and prize entitlement will be final, subject to applicable law.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
  • These Terms & Conditions will be governed by the laws of India.
  • Any dispute arising from registration or participation in the event will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Kokrajhar, Assam.

The participant—and the parent or legal guardian where applicable—confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions before completing registration.
